2022-2023 Oley Valley Lynx Athletic Registration
The Athletic Department utilizes Student Central (formerly known as PlanetHS) for athletic registrations and form submissions. This online registration platform allows students and families in grades 7-12 to register for sports, complete all required athletic forms, and also confirm that you have completed all required steps in order for your child to start participation in a Fall, Winter or Spring sport.
Please take a moment to click on and read the following links listed below. These links will provide more information on how to sign your child up for any sport during the 2022-2023 school year as well as how to submit all required forms. Students and parents who created StudentCentral (PlanetHS) accounts in the past should use the same account that was already created - please do not create a new account. 7th grade students or students who did not ever participate in a sport at Oley Valley School District should use their Student ID or OVSD email address and use the password "bigteams" to access your student account for the first time. After accessing the student account, an invite can be sent to create and link a parent account. PLEASE MAKE SURE WHEN CREATING/ACCESSING YOUR ACCOUNT, THAT YOU SELECT THE CORRECT SCHOOL. STUDENTS IN GRADES 7-8 SHOULD SELECT OLEY VALLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL AND STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-12 SHOULD SELECT OLEY VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL. Students registering for their first sport of the year will need to sign/initial sections 3, 4, 5, and 6, the Student-Athlete Code of Responsibility, Athletic Participation Form, St. Lukes Consent to Treat Patient Form, and the St. Lukes HIPAA Privacy Authorization Form. Parents/Guardians registering for their child's first sport of the year will need to sign/initial all sections and forms. Students and parents/guardians who are completing a re-certification for subsequent seasons will both need to sign/initial Section 8, and submit Section 9 if the student saw a doctor for an injury or illness during the previous sport season/s. (Sections 8 and 9 will only show prior to the start of the Winter and Spring seasons)
*Please note that while all forms are completed and submitted online, you will need to print out Section 6 (Health History) and Section 7 (Doctor's Physical Form) in order to be able to have a doctor complete the physical form. To print Section 6 and blank Section 7: After completing Section 6, click on the "Print Version Here" link that is found at the top of the Section 6 form. This will print all of your answers to Section 6 Health History as well as a blank Section 7 form to take to the doctor. A blank Section 7 (doctor's) form can also be downloaded and printed by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page, but most doctors will also required the completed Section 6 Health History form to be presented during the physical exam. Anyone attending the St. Luke's school sport physicals must bring a completed Section 6 along with the blank Section 7 form with you to the sport physical.
Registration is now open for all students in grades 7-12. All students are required to complete the online registration by June 30, 2022 for any sports that they plan on participating in during the 2022-23 school year. Physical forms can be uploaded after June 30th as needed, but having all other information in the system by then will help our coaching staffs and athletic office staff plan and contact team members as needed during the summer and school year. While there will be opportunity to change which sports your child signs up for leading up to each season, we ask that everyone completes the online registration process during the month of June. If you wish to change which sports your child plans on participating in, all you have to do is check or uncheck any of the sports under their account profile.
Deadlines for all forms to be submitted on Student Central each season will be:
Fall Season - August 5, 2022
Winter Season - November 11, 2022
Spring Season - February 24, 2023

St. Luke's Health Network Sport Physical Options
In partnership with St. Luke's Health Network, students in the Oley Valley School District are invited to attend sport physicals at neighboring schools and facilities. These sport physicals are free of charge to all OVSD students and are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. St. Luke's and OVSD highly recommend that all students see their primary care physician for the completion of the yearly sport physical, but if that is not possible then we hope you will be able to take advantage of one of St. Luke's sport physicals.
You must pre-register for the St. Luke's physicals using the signup links below in order to attend!
All students must, at a minimum, have the completed medical history (Section 6) and blank physician evaluation page (Section 7) of the physical form with them when they attend the sport physical. St. Luke's will keep both sections and send them to our Athletic Office, where we will be able to then upload the completed Section 7 to your account for you.

Section 7 - Doctors Form - can be printed to take to the doctor, and then must be uploaded to Student Central with the doctor signature - and dated after June 1, 2022.
*Per PIAA and School District Policy, all students must be covered by personal health insurance, or purchase the voluntary student accident insurance before participating in a scholastic sport.
Asthma Action Plan - To be completed each year by all student-athletes who have asthma - requires doctor certification. This form should be returned each year to the High School or Middle School Nurse or to the Athletic Office.
